In the past, the Pasila area housed the Fredriksberg farm, which likely received its name from its owner, Carl Fredrik Winqvist. When the railway station was later founded in the area, it was also originally named Fredriksberg. Tripla's Ballroom is a celebration of Pasila's origins: it is an area that has grown with changing demands over the course of centuries, but it has still always managed to maintain its community spirit and the culture of doing things together. Pasila, which is built upon the old Fredriksberg farm, is becoming a significant pioneer in the development of Helsinki.
